Islamabad: Six vehicles, eight mobiles recovered
ISLAMABAD: The capital police recovered six vehicles, eight mobile phones and some household items worth Rs 4.648 million during last seven days. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Syed Kaleem Imam was informed in the weekly performance briefing on Tuesday that police also arrested 48 proclaimed offenders and absconders. Similarly, 92 people were arrested for violating public law.
The SSP was informed that during the period 229 challans were sent to the court and 24 cases pertaining to arms and ammunitions were registered, wherein 19 pistols, 144 bore gun, two kalashnikovs and 131 live cartridges were recovered. Police also busted a gambling den and arrested 12 people and six vehicles, eight mobile phones and Rs 160,000 cash were recovered from their possession.
