Peshawar: Police arrest 59 alleged criminals
PESHAWAR: The city police have arrested at least 59 criminals including three proclaimed offenders (POs) and recovered arms and drugs from their possession, said a statement issued on Wednesday.
It said the police arrested two POs Asfar Khan and Aminullah, who were wanted by the Takhtbhai and Charsadda police, respectively, in the jurisdiction of Sarband Police Station, while Lal Mohammad was captured in the jurisdiction of Pandu Police Station. Police also recovered automatic weapons, including a rifle, shotgun, 11 pistols, 110 rounds, three kilogrammes of charas and six bottles of liquor from possession of the alleged criminals and sent one of the accused to jail after presenting their challan in a court.
