Lahore: Two vehicle lifters arrested
LAHORE: The Anti-Vehicles Lifting Staff on Wednesday arrested two people of a criminal gang and recovered seven cars, mobile phones and cash from them.
Additional Inspector General (AIG) Malik Muhammad Iqbal directed Deputy Inspector General (Investigation) Tassaduq Hussain to take effective measures for curbing the incidents of vehicle snatching. A special team – headed by Crime Record Office (CRO) Superintendent of Police Zaeem Iqbal Sheikh – was constituted for this purpose, which collected the particulars of Abid Gang and arrested its two members. The arrested were identified as Abid and Asif alias Mocha. The police recovered seven cars, three mobile phones and Rs 2,000 and seized two pistols and bullets from them. A special team has also been constituted to arrest the remaining members of the gang.
