Khar: 450 arrested for growing poppy
KHAR: Political authorities have arrested more than 400 poppy growers of Brung tribe in the Bajaur tribal region during the last few weeks, officials said. Assistant political agent Mohammad Jamil Khan told journalists here on Wednesday, that 450 people had been arrested on charges of growing poppy in different parts of the agency. The administration, he said, had also stopped incentives to the tribesmen.
