Lahore: 50-year-old killed over property
LAHORE: A 50-year-old man was found shot dead in the Burki police precinct on Thursday. A police official concerned claimed that the man was ‘murdered’ by his relatives over a property dispute. He said the deceased was identified as Arif, a resident of 126-F-I, Johar Town.
The official said Arif’s relatives had reported his kidnapping and logged an FIR with the Johar Town police a few days ago. On Thursday, Arif was found dead apparently he had been shot.
The police officer said Arif’s cousin, Khalid alias Khalu, had surrendered to the police and confessed to killing Arif over a dispute of 11–kanal property located in Hadyara Fall. The police sent the body for an autopsy and registered a case.
