Ghalanai: One missing worker of ICRC found
GHALANAI: The authorities on Wednesday recovered one of the two missing employees of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) from Mohmand tribal region.
The two Pakistani employees of the committee had gone missing in the Jamrud subdivision of the Khyber tribal region on Feb 2 when they were going from their sub-office in Peshawar to Torkham for customs clearance.
The Assistant Political Agent of Lower Mohmand, Mr Shahiddullah, told journalists that the ICRC employee, found with the help of a tribal jirga, was handed over to police in Peshawar.
He said that efforts were under way to trace the other employee. He declined to disclose names of the kidnappers and the place where the ICRC worker had been kept.
