Lahore: One killed outside PML-N office
LAHORE: Some unidentified men on Sunday killed a 30-year-old man and injured eight others, including a woman in Gowalmandi. The police while quoting eyewitnesses said four unidentified men riding two motorcycles approached the election office of Hamza Shahbaz near Gowalmandi Food Street, a stronghold of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz and fired at people.
The injured were rushed to Mayo Hospital where doctors pronounced Alam Zeb (30) dead. The other injured are identified as Mohsin, Heera, Manu Butt, Nadeem, Salma, Qasim, Rizwan and Zafar. City SP Rana Ahmed Hassan said, “It is a result of enmity between two groups.” He said Manu, a proclaimed offender, his friends and some passers-by had sustained bullet injuries. He said the injured were not the PML-N workers. He said Manu Butt was visiting the food street with his friends when the unknown motorcyclists fired at them.
