Karachi: Two activists killed
KARACHI: Two political workers were killed late on Wednesday night in separate parts of the city. A worker of the Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) was shot dead by unknown attackers in Model Colony.
Initial reports said Arshad Ali, 23, was attacked near his house in Street No 27. Tension gripped the locality following the incident.
The police said that the body was being shifted to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre.
The victim was stated to be a brother of area councillor, Liaquat Ali.
Meanwhile, a Bengali-speaking man was stabbed to death in Machchar Colony in the limits of Docks police. The body was shifted to the Civil Hospital where sources said the victim received multiple stab wounds in his abdomen.
The police said the man was fatally wounded by three unknown men near Raja Chowk . Identified as Babul, 21, the victim was stated to be a supporter of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement.
