Lahore: Teenager found dead
LAHORE: A decomposing body of a 19-year-old unidentified boy, who was strangled some six days ago, was found from a drain in the Race Course police precinct on Saturday.
Locals observed the body in a drain on Zafar Ali Road and informed the Edhi Foundation. The ambulance reached there and moved the body to the city morgue for an autopsy. The police also reached the spot and registered a case against unknown killers. A police official said the boy was first tortured and then strangled to death.
OD claims addict’s life A 55-year-old addict was found dead under the River Ravi bridge in the Shahdara Town police precinct on Saturday.
The deceased was identified as Mushtaq Ahmad, son of Nazir Ahmad. A passer-by observed the body and informed the Edhi services. The body was handed over to the deceased’s family without an autopsy. The police said the victim was a drug addict and died of an overdose (OD).
45-year-old woman murdered Unidentified killers murdered a 45-year-old unidentified woman near Firdous Market on Saturday. Some locals informed the police at around 6:30am about the body in G-Block, Naseerabad.
The police reached there and moved the body to the city morgue for an autopsy. They said the woman had been killed with a sharp-edged weapon, as she was bleeding from the head.
