Lahore: Rangers foil flour smuggling attempt
LAHORE: Rangers foiled the attempt of smuggling flour to Peshawar and seized 600 bags of flour, of 20 kilogrammes each from a loaded truck. They confiscated the bags and arrested Kosur Iqbal and Abdur Reheem and registered a case in the Shera Kot police station under the Food Control Act.
District Food Controller Arif Ali Shah received information of the truck on its way towards Peshawar, carrying the flour. His assistant, Muhammad Farooq Bhatti, along with his staff erected a picket at Shera Kot to stop and search the identified truck. District Coordination Officer Muhammad Ijaz directed the food squad to distribute the bags among deserving people and institutions.
