Peshawar: Police nab four POs, 10 gamblers
PESHAWAR: During a crackdown on criminal on Tuesday, Capital City Police arrested four proclaimed offenders and ten gamblers and seized thousands of rupees from their possession. According to a press release issued here, Capital City Police Chief Tanvirul Haq Sipra directed Operations SSP Muhammad Tahir Khan to carry out raids on suspected criminal hideouts in Peshawar district to arrest persons involved in murder, robbery and drug-selling.
Pursuing the directives, the Operations SSP ordered raids in different area, as a result of which several criminals were arrested and arms were seized from their possession. The seized arms include five pistols of 30 bore, 45 cartridges, 1.4 kg of charras and two bottles of liquor.
The arrested criminals were produced before the court and proceedings have started against them.
