Lahore: Brothers killed over property
LAHORE: A property dispute among three brothers claimed two lives and injured three in Mochi Gate police precinct on Monday afternoon.
According to police sources, three brothers Shahbaz, Ishtiaq alias Bobi and Abbas had a dispute over family property where a plaza was being constructed. Shahbaz had taken a stay order of the property worth millions. On Monday afternoon Shahbaz, Ishtiaq, Abbas and Shahbaz’s brother-in-law Mehmood met at the disputed property to solve the matter through negotiation, sources said.
After the exchange of harsh words, Shahbaz became furious. He and his accomplices took out firearms and opened indiscriminate firing, sources said. As a result, Ishtiaq, Mehmood, Attaur Rehman, Maqsood and Abbas were injured. Shahbaz and his accomplices then immediately fled from the place. Residents from the areas called the police after hearing gunshots. The injured were rushed to the Mayo Hospital. Both men died in hospital. Attaur Rehman and Maqsood were declared to be in critical condition and Abbas was discharged after first aid, as he had received little injuries.
