Karachi: Accused in PPP murder released
KARACHI: The investigation police has released the people accused in the murder case of a Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) activist in Korangi.
Nadeem alias Bablu’s dead body was found near Farooquia Park, Zaman Town. He was 16 years old and the sole supporter of his family. The town remained closed and the residents protested in front of the press club over the arrest of the people involved in his murder.
Nadeem had been called by an unidentified person and he left his home immediately on receiving the phone call. His family lodged an FIR on his absence but the next day Nadeem’s body was found along with his motorcycle.
“For the last six months, Nadeem’s father has been in the hospital and Nadeem supported his family by working in a medical store. After his death, the family has suffered financially,” said Ghulam Qadir and Bashir, relatives.
The deceased’s mother Nawabzadi had initially lodged an FIR against Ubaid, Javed, Ejaz, Toufique and Farhan. The police arrested the accused but soon released them after interrogations.
“After the lodging of the FIR and arrests, Nadeem’s mother said that the accused were hostile towards Nadeem but they had resolved their differences,” said Malik Mahar, the person in charge of the investigation. Maher also said that the accused were innocent and were not involved in the murder.
