Convoy escapes blast, woman killed in Swat
MINGORA: A remote-controlled bomb exploded moments after an army convoy passed by it in the Kala Kalay area of tehsil Kabal, Swat, on Sunday. No casualties occurred in the blast, which took place at 4am.
Separately, security forces fired at a car that was taking a pregnant woman to Matta hospital, for violating the curfew.
The woman died instantly. “We deeply regret the incident and loss of precious life,” a military statement said. Meanwhile, the security forces arrested Excise Inspector Adalat Khan and clerk Ibrahim in Qambar and Amankot for their alleged links with the Taliban. They were moved to an undisclosed location for investigation.
