3 criminals arrested from Shahdara
LAHORE: Shahdara Investigation police on Monday claimed to have arrested three members of a gang involved in street crimes and robberies. The police said that they had seized items worth Rs 100,000 and weapons from the criminals. The accused had confessed to 11 such crimes during the preliminary interrogation, the police added.
They said that Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) and Additional Inspector General Malik Muhammad Iqbal had directed City Division Superintendent of Police (Investigation) Sarfraz Ahmed Falki to constitute a team under the supervision of the Shahdara Investigation Police incharge. The police said that the team had collected the particulars of Kamran alias Pomi gang and arrested its three members on a tip-off.
The police said that various cases had also been traced against the criminals in the Shahdara Police Station. They said that they had recovered a motorcycle, three televisions, two compact-desk players, three mobile phones, three pistols and bullets from the criminals. The arrested were identified as Kamran Shahzad alias Pomi, Shahid Shafique and Umair Ali.
The CCPO announced cash prizes and certificates for the raiding team.
