GUJRANWALA: The local anti-terrorism court No.2 on Monday accepted the adjournment plea filed by Sibtul Hassan alias Double Shah and fixed March 26 for further hearing.
Wazirabad police produced him in the court along with his accomplices Ibrar Shah, Imtiaz Shah and Liaquat Ali. Main accused Double Shah submitted that he had changed his counsel and inducted Shahid Muzaffar Khan Advocate and sought adjournment. The court accepted his plea and adjourned the case till March 26.
Later, Double Shah told newsmen that since his arrest no passport or tickets were recovered from his possession which showed that he did not want to escape from the country. “The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) is selling my property worth millions of rupees at throw-away prices and did not return his expensive vehicle,” he said.
He said NAB had closed his CNG stations, causing him heavy financial loss. He denied that he wanted to contest election against PML-Q leader Hamid Nasir Chattha.
