Rawalpindi: One killed, two injured in firing incident
RAWALPINDI: A man died and two others received injuries in a firing incident in the limits of Rawat police station late Monday night, police said on Tuesday.
Muhammad Qayyum moved an application with the police claiming that his son Humayun Saeed, 25, died and his colleagues Muhammad Hanif and Israr received injuries when Abdul Hameed opened fire on them.
He told the police that Saeed parked his truck in front of Hameed’s market that enraged the latter. After some harsh words between them, Hameed opened fire on Saeed and his colleagues resulting in the death of Saeed. The injured were taken to nearby hospital.
The body of Saeed was handed over to family members after postmortem. Rawat police have registered a case and investigations are in progress.
