Lahore: Teenager knifed to death
LAHORE: An 18-year-old youth, who was taken to the Lahore General Hospital after being stabbed late on Monday night, died on Tuesday.
Kot Lakhpat Police said that Zafar Iqbal and his friend, Muhammad Yousaf – a resident of Ichhra – were asleep at Iqbal’s residence in Bhatti Colony when some men entered the house and stabbed them. They were rushed to the hospital, where Iqbal succumbed to his injuries but Yousaf stabilised.
The police said that Iqbal had an enmity with some locals, including Ijaz and Naseem. They said that some 40 days ago, the deceased had a case registered against his rivals in the Kot Lakhpat Police Station for killing his brother, Muhammad Qasim. Ijaz and Naseem were released from prison on bail some days ago. The police believe that the two accused had killed Iqbal and injured his friend. However, no arrests have been made so far.
