Karachi: 75 killings in 25 days ANP
KARACHI The Awami National Party (ANP) has demanded a probe into the numerous murders of political workers in Karachi. During the past 25 days, approximately 75 political workers of different political parties have been killed in Karachi.
ANP President and Loya Jirga Sindh Chairman Shahi Syed condemned the murders of the workers of the Pakistan Peoples Party, Awami National Party, Sunni Tehreek, Mohajir Qaumi Movement and other political parties in Karachi. “A shocking 75 political activists and government officials have been killed in Karachi. The caretaker government has utterly failed in maintaining law and order in the city, let alone the country,” said Syed, adding that Pashtoon workers seemed to be frequently targeted. “The arrest and judicial enquiry of these murderers is a responsibility of the government that it cannot ignore,” he concluded.
