Khairpur: Kidnap victim released by abductors
KHAIRPUR: A Moro-based journalist, who was kidnapped 14 days ago, was freed by the kidnappers in Dadu on Saturday night, reports our Naushahro Feroze correspondent. Zafar Tagar alias Gahno Tagar, kidnapped from Moro, was freed on Saturday night near the house of a former federal minister.
Zafar Tagar told journalists that the kidnappers dropped him in Dadu on Saturday night with a warning that he should not fight with the people. He claimed that he knew the names of the kidnappers and would disclose them later.
When contacted, DPO Zulfiqar Ali Larik, said that the matter needed a thorough investigation. The DPO, however, confirmed that FIR No 108/08 under section 365-A PPC was lodged on the complaint of the man’s brother Ghulam Ali at Moro police station on Sunday against five unknown persons.
