Lahore: Gangs rob factories
LAHORE: Twenty-five armed robbers stormed into a plastic factory on the Grand Trunk Road on Saturday. They took more than 20 labourers working there hostage, tied them up and snatched their cellphones. The robbers also took away a large amount of cash and raw material from the factory, which they loaded onto their truck before fleeing the scene. The police registered a case and started investigation.
In another recent, similar incident, a group of robbers entered a medicine company’s warehouse located on Multan Road in Manga Mandi Police precinct. They took the staff, including the guards, hostage at gunpoint, tied them up with ropes, and locked them in a room. Then, they loaded medicines worth millions onto a truck and escaped. The police registered a case on the complaint of the warehouse manager, Saadullah Khan.
