Karachi: Kidnapper freed as victims avoid court
KARACHI: A man who kidnapped a doctor and another man for at least 2.2 million rupees was exonerated by an anti-terrorism court as the victims failed to come forward.

The Investigating Officer (IO) of the two cases registered by the Memon Goth and Shah Latif police submitted separate reports under, stating that the complainants or alleged victims were not coming forward.
There was no evidence against the accused and hence he may be absolved of the charges he was booked for, the officer submitted. The accused was booked under Sections 365-A, 324 and 34 PPC.
According to the Memon Goth police, Abdul Nasir connived with other men and kidnapped Dr Abdul Hameed from Uzma Clinic, Somar Kundati Goth, Gadap Town on Jan 8, 2008.
