Islamabad: 108 bottles of liquor seized
ISLAMABAD: The capital police on Tuesday arrested a man, allegedly drunk, and recovered 108 bottles of liquor and a rifle from him. According to a press statement, the police arrested Shamoon Masia of Rawalpindi and recovered 108 bottle of liquor from his car near Sohan. It said a police informer told Inspector Muhmmad Bashir Noon that a vehicle, carrying huge amount of liquor, was coming towards Islamabad. Then the Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) put up pickets near Sohan and seized the vehicle.
Ex-minister’s bail plea put off Islamabad High Court (IHC) Chief Justice Sardar Muhammad Aslam on Tuesday adjourned hearing till April 11 into a bail plea of Shahid Jamil Qureshi, the former communications minister. Qureshi was arrested for his alleged involvement in the murder of Kafila Siddiqui, 38-year-old Canadian national and businesswoman, on June 9 last year. Siddiqui was found dead in the accused’s home located in Sector G-113.
