Peshawar: AHTC arrests 50 people at Peshawar Airport this year
PESHAWAR: During the first three months of 2008, 50 out of 416 people arriving at Peshawar Airport were handed over to the Anti-Human Trafficking Circle (AHTC) for tampering with travel documents, said a statement issued on Saturday.
The statement said that two Afghan nationals – Alam Jan and Habib Shah Khan – were handed over to the AHTC for travelling on expired Pakistani visas. Around 31 people were denied entry to Pakistan on their arrival with 19 of them handed over to the AHTC for fake documents and 12 foreigners deported for possessing fake visas. Most of those deported were from African countries.
