Peshawar: PML-N leader survives attack, driver and bodyguard killed
PESHAWAR: A Pakistan Muslim League–Nawaz (PML-N) leader was injured on Monday while his driver and a bodyguard were killed when unidentified gunmen ambushed their vehicle in Galyara, Mardan.
Abdus Subhan Khan, the PML-N NWFP senior vice president, his driver and a bodyguard were on their way to Mardan on a car when the gunmen opened fired on them, injuring Subhan and killing the driver and bodyguard.
Subhan has been admitted to Lady Reading Hospital and he is out of danger, a PML-N worker said.
PML-N NWFP General Secretary Anwar Kamal Marwat has condemned the attack. “The law and order situation in the province is in a bad state and nobody is safe,” he said.
