Islamabad: Police clueless about maid’s killing
ISLAMABAD: Police have not yet found any clue to the killing of a housemaid whose throat was slit. Her body was found in a house owned by property dealer Abdul Shakoor in Sector F-111 on Monday.
Dr Moen Masood, the acting senior superintendent of police (SSP), told Daily Times the investigation was on but no clue had been found yet. “It is a blind murder so investigation will take time,” he said. Hospital sources said that Shahzia Khushhal, 20, a resident of Faisalabad, was killed by a sharp-edged weapon. Bruises on right leg of the victim showed that she had put up resistance to the attackers, they said.
They said initial reports had shown that Shazia was not raped before murder. The cause of the death would be determined after chemical examination. Police officials said Shakoor, the owner of the house, and his wife were not present when the murder took place. Shakoor has two wives, one of whom lived in the flat where Shazia was killed.
