Karachi: Four SHOs removed
KARACHI: Three Station House Officers (SHOs) were replaced at different police stations in Lyari on Thursday. SHO Kalri Shahid Aziz has been removed and replaced by Sohail Akhtar while SHO Baghdadi Mohammad Ali Niazi has been transferred, with Asif Munawar taking his place. Hyder Ali has also been replaced with Arshad Jinjua as the SHO of Chakiwara.
“These officers were removed due because of inefficiency reasons,” said DIG South Iqbal Mehmood. “The present officers will be better at maintaining peace in the town.”
Furthermore, Baloch Colony SHO Matiullah Khan has been removed over negligence in the murder case of a furniture showroom owner on directives of Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Karachi Salauddin Babar Khattak. His charge has been given to Tasawar Ameer.
DSP Azizabad Ejaz Hashmi was suspended over an incident of misbehavior with a journalist. His charge has been given to Gulberg Faisal Noor DSP. Meanwhile, there were some reports of a gang war and casualties in Lyari Town on Thursday night, but DIG Iqbal Mehmood denied it.
