Lahore: Labourer killed by neighbours
LAHORE: A 30-year-old labourer was shot dead on Monday by four neighbours over a previous scuffle between the women of the two houses. Manawan police said that the labourer, Rehmat Ali, was a resident of Sharifpura. They said that the women of Ali’s house had had a fight with neighbouring women over a minor issue. The men got involved in the fight and had exchanged harsh words. The men of the other family were identified as Kashif, Babbu and Nasarullah.
On Monday, Ali was standing at his doorstep when the three men, along with an unidentified accomplice, approached him and picked up a fight with him again. They abused him and when Ali asked them to be polite, they shot at him, killing him on the spot. They then fled the scene.
The police took the body to the city morgue for autopsy and registered a case against the accused killers.
