Islamabad: Capital police bust robbers’ gang
ISLAMABAD: The capital police have arrested a four-member gang of robbers, including three women, who entered houses in the garb of seeking work and committed robberies, said a police statement on Tuesday.
Those arrested included Maryam, Shameem, Maqbool and Shuakat Maseeh. During preliminary investigation they confessed to their involvement in a number of robberies in the federal capital. Muhmmad Akram, a resident of sector I-82, complained to Industrial Area police that three unidentified women robbed his house on April 4.
Akram said these women entered his house in the garb of seeking work. When they found his wife and child alone they took her on knifepoint and asked her to surrender all the valuables. A man, the fourth member of the gang, was on guard outside the house during the incident. The robber women took a mobile phone and cash and escaped along with their male partner.
