Lahore: 3 men bludgeoned with iron bars
LAHORE: Three elderly people were bludgeoned with iron bars while they were sleeping near Mian Mir Shrine in the early hours of Tuesday. The police said that Muhammad Afzal (75), Sufi Muhammad (70) and Din Muhammad (55) were asleep when unidentified men attacked them and they fled. The police were called, and the police rushed the to the Services Hospital.
Mustafa Abad Station House Officer Asif Atta said that apparently the old men were targeted by the Hathora Group (Hammer Group). He said that the head injuries sustained by the victims were examined by the police and the doctors’ report suggested the victims had been attacked with iron bars. He said that Muhammad Afzal and Din Muhammad were in a serious condition, adding that the victims were not relatives and did not have any enmity with anyone, which suggested that the Hathora Group was behind the incident.
