Lahore: Robbers have a field day
Lahore: Robbers made off with over Rs 2.5 million in goods in various strikes on Tuesday. Four robbers broke into the house of Tajamul Hussain in the South Cantonment police limits, held the family there at gunpoint and stole cash, jewellery and other valuables worth over Rs 600,000.
Three robbers also entered the house of Muhammad Liaqat in Liaqatabad and made off with cash, jewellery and other valuables worth over Rs 400,000. In another robbery at the house of Rana Imran in Islampura, cash, jewellery and other valuables worth over Rs 500,000 were taken. Four robbers also broke into the house of Rizwan in Harbanspura and took away cash, gold ornaments and other valuables worth over Rs 400,000 from the family at gunpoint.
Several robbers also entered a private company’s customer service centre in the Sattukatla police jurisdiction, held the owner, employees and the customers at gunpoint, collected Rs 173,000, eight mobile phones and fled on a stolen motorcycle (LEM-6288). Three armed robbers barged into a house in the Ghaziabad police precinct and stole jewellery, mobile phones and wristwatches worth over Rs 300,000.
In another incident, three robbers stopped a man named Mazhar Abaas near Kotha Pind in Faisal Town and snatched Rs 170,000 and two mobile phones from him at gunpoint. Two robbers also stopped a man named Abid near Jamia Masjid Karimia in Shadbagh and deprived him of Rs 300,000 at gunpoint.
