Karachi: Highway robbers’ gang nabbed
Karachi: An ACLU team nabbed three dacoits, including the ring-leader, involved in highway robberies. They were identified as Muhammad Ramzan, Fayyaz and Muhammad Tariq, while their two accomplices Tariq and Shahid fled from Gulshan-i-Jamal during the raid.
A Kalashnikov rifle, a repeater gun, three TT pistols, four magazines, 35 cartridges and a Suzuki car (AAZ-150), stolen from the Baloch Colony police jurisdiction, were recovered from their custody.
Meanwhile, police claimed to have arrested four bandits involved in robberies in posh areas of Defence and Clifton. Illicit arms were recovered from the custody of arrested outlaws, who were identified as Sharif Gehlo, Nizam Gehlo, Sikandar Gehlo and Muhammad Keerio. During a preliminary interrogation, police said, they confessed to have committed various burglaries and dacoities in the Defence and Clifton areas.
