Lahore: CIA arrests two proclaimed offenders
LAHORE: The Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) on Wednesday arrested two proclaimed offenders involved in more than 52 incidents of murder and robbery and seized looted property worth Rs 0.5 million from them.
A special team constituted under the supervision of the CIA deputy superintendent of police, collected the particulars of notorious proclaimed offenders Ijaz Hayder alias Feeri Shah and Abbas alias Abbasu and arrested them. Police recovered Rs 400,000 in cash, 15 mobile phones, two pistols and bullets from them.
The criminals were also part of two gangs involved in robbery. Feeri Shah murdered Naveed alias Kala in Tibbi City area in January this year while Abbasu killed four people including two women in Manawan area in 1999. The areas in which these criminals committed crime included Manawan, Tibbi City, Islampura, Ravi Road, Lorry Adda, Samanabad, Sandha, Shafiqabad, Badami Bagh and Mochi Gate.
