Karachi: Accused in kidnapping case remanded
KARACHI: Justice Khawaja Naveed Ahmed of the High Court of Sindh remanded on Friday accused Muhammad Rasool to the custody of the investigation police (AVCU), Gizri police station in a kidnapping for ransom case.
According to the prosecution, the accused along with five absconding accused kidnapped Lister Lobo, son of Linze Lobo, a senior banker of ABN Amro, and demanded a huge ransom. The accused kept the boy in custody for 68 days and released the victim after taking a ransom of Rs 0.8 million in a tribal area. Accused Rasool was stated to have been the driver of William John, the grandfather of the victim.
