Lahore: SI suspended for misusing authority
LAHORE: Sub-Inspector Shahbaz Ali Shah has been suspended from service on Wednesday for misuse of power and deceiving several girls. IG Shaukat Javed ordered an inquiry against the SI on the complaints of two women. They said, “Shahbaz wed them by saying that he was a bachelor.
He already deceived five women on the same pretext.” SP (Investigation) Akhtar Hayat Lalika probed the matter and proved the charges. Cases were registered against Shahbaz with Wahdat Colony and Township police. DPS (Investigation) Waqar Ahmed Khan was appointed inquiry officer (IO). The IO served several notices on Shahbaz, but he did not appear before the inquiry officer. In the light of the inquiry report the IG suspended Shahbaz from service under the Punjab Employees’ Efficiency, Discipline and Accountability Act 2006.
