Lahore: Man kills brother over land
LAHORE: A schoolteacher was murdered by his elder brother over property in the Manga Mandi police precinct on Tuesday morning. The police said that Rasheed (30), a resident of Maraka village, had set up a private school on his inherited land in the village. His elder brother Ijaz wanted to get the land, over which the two had argued many times.
On Tuesday, Ijaz and his accomplice Bholla met Rasheed at his school to discus the matter, but the brothers got angry. After an exchange of harsh words, Ijaz strangled Rasheed, and tried to hang the body to a ceiling fan to show the murder as a suicide. However, some passers-by saw them from the building’s window and locked the door from outside. They informed the police, who arrested Ijaz and Bholla.
Tortured and killed A bruised body of an unidentified man was found from the BRB Canal in the Batapur police precinct on Tuesday morning. The police said that some passers-by had informed them about the body floating in the canal, after which a police team reached there and took it out. The police said that the body had several torture marks on it, and it looked as if the killer(s) had strangled the man to death after torturing him.
