Lahore: 4 shot dead in Gujrat property dispute
LAHORE: Three policemen and a passer-by were shot dead and one policeman injured in a property dispute in Gujrat on Sunday. According to Geo News, Federal Minister Qamar Zaman Qaira’s cousin Zaheer Qaira, accompanied by armed men, attempted to take possession of a plaza near Kharian.
When police tried to prevent them from doing so the accused opened fire, killing four. The deceased were identified as head constables Aslam and Tariq Mehmood, constable Shamraiz Akhtar and a pedestrian named Tariq. After the incident, a heavy contingent of police cordoned off the area and arrested over a dozen people.
