Lahore: Saddar Police CIA arrests 3 criminals
LAHORE: A Saddar Criminal Investigation Agency (CIA) team claimed to have arrested three criminals involved in street crime and seized cell phones, cash, a motorcycle and illegal weapons from them, according to a handout issued on Sunday.
The accused confessed to 15 robberies during the preliminary interrogation. The criminals were arrested on a tip-off by a special team formed on the directions of CIA Superintendent of Police (SP) Muhammad Umar Virk comprising of Saddar CIA deputy superintendent of police (DSP) and other officials from Badami Bagh.
The police recovered seven cell phones, Rs10,000, a motorcycle, three pistols and bullets from them. The arrested were identified as Zafar Iqbal alias Pappu, Muhammad Shahbaz and Muhammad Ramzan. Deputy Inspector General (Investigation) Mushtaq Ahmed Sukhaira announced cash prizes and certificates for the police raiding team.
