Karachi: MQM worker killed
KARACHI: A worker of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) was killed on Tuesday by unidentified armed men within the jurisdiction of the Orangi Town Police Station. Adnan, 25, was sitting outside his shop at Sector 1A, Qazzafi Chowk, when two men came on a motorcycle and opened fire on him, explained a police officer.
“He received three bullet wounds and died on the spot while his friend Khalil was injured,” he added. His body was taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for an autopsy, from where his family took it away for burial. Initial investigations indicate that he was killed on personal enmity, suspected the officer.
He was a resident of sector 6E, Orangi Town. FIR No. 164/08 has been registered on behalf of the deceased’s brother Shahabuddin against unidentified men. Laborer killed Police recovered Mashooq Ali’s body from Bhens Colony Road on Wednesday within the jurisdiction of the Sukkhan Police Station. He was a resident of Katchiabadi, Railway Colony and was reported missing on Tuesday. His body was taken to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center for autopsy, where police claimed that he was killed on enmity. FIR number 128/08 has been registered on behalf of the deceased’s brother Ghulam Mustafa.
