Karachi: Four killed in separate incidents
KARACHI: Four people were killed on Thursday in acts of violence in different parts of the city, police and hospital sources said. A 26-year-old man was shot dead in Balida Town. His body was taken to the Civil Hospital, where he was identified as Umer Khan Niazi, son of Qaiser Khan. Balida Town police said the victim was a taxi driver and he was shot dead by two motorcyclists at Sector 4-B, Mohajir Camp 5.
They said the cab driver, resident of Jan Nagar, Baldia Town, was replacing a wheel of his vehicle at a tyre shop when the assailant arrived there and sprayed him with bullets. Hospital sources said the victim received three bullets in his upper torso from a very close range as they went through his body. The police registered a case against unknown assailants on the complaint of the victim’s father. The police said the murder seemed to be motivated by personal feud.
