Bahawalpur: Police claim recovering girl within deadline
BAHAWALPUR: Sammasatta police claimed to have recovered a college girl on Sunday from Gujrat for whom the Punjab chief minister had set the deadline of 72 hours. The orders to recover Nasreen, abducted some two months back, were issued on June 19 during a visit to the city by the chief minister. The mother of the kidnapped girl had attempted to meet the Shahbaz Sharif at the Circuit House, but she was allegedly thrashed by an SHO, who was later suspended by the chief minister.
The chief minister had summoned the aggrieved woman to listen to her grievance and ordered the police to recover her daughter within 72 hours. Police sources said that the culprits involved in the abduction of the girl could not be arrested. The DPO was unavailable for his comments.
