Karachi: 5 killed, five injured in Karachi violence
KARACHI: At least five people were killed while five sustained injuries during separate incidents of violence on Sunday. According to reports, Kifayatullah, 32, was killed when he was trying to resolve a dispute between two neighbouring families.
The incident took place near his residence in Gulzarabad within the jurisdiction of the Manghopir Police Station. Meanwhile at least five sustained injuries inflicted with batons and iron rods during the clash. The injured are Sami Jan, his two brothers, Rahim Gul and Amir, and their rival group members, Azizullah and Afsar Ali, said SHO Kambo Khan. Explaining the incident, Khan said that the injured are all relatives. Rahim’s wife called her brothers after a domestic dispute with her husband and as a result, the incident took place. Both group members fired at each other because of which their neighbor was shot dead while trying to solve the issue, the officer added. The deceased was a labourer by profession and has left two children behind. No FIR was registered till the filing of this report.
