Lahore: LHC orders registration of kidnapping case against ASI
LAHORE: The Lahore High Court (LHC) has directed the Kalur Kot Police station house officer (SHO) to register a case against Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Sher Khan for abducting a young boy.
The judge ordered this while hearing a habeas corpus petition filed by Shah Jahan Khan, seeking recovery of his 11-year-old son. The judge also ordered the SHO to produce the abducted boy on Friday.
The petitioner submitted that ASI Sher and his constables barged into his showroom a few days ago and took away his son, Waliullah, on the directions of his rivals. He said that the police had kept Waliullah at Chandni Chowk Police Post, but the ASI shifted him to an unknown location after some people of the area reported them.
He prayed that the court direct the police to produce Waliullah and order registration of a case against the ASI for abducting his son.
