Islamabad: Court summons former PM Aziz for ‘filing false case’
ISLAMABAD: A city court on Thursday issued notices to former prime minister Shaukat Aziz, officials concerned of the Finance Ministry and the FIA for filing an alleged false case against 56 Islamic Countries Advanced Education Trust Secretary General Zahida Malik.
Additional District and Sessions Judge Manzoor Ahmad Mirza directed the respondents to appear before the court on July 23 with the relevant record. Justice Mirza issued the direction on the complaint of Zahida Malik who had pleaded for initiation of legal proceedings under Section 476 Cr PC with 182 PPC for filing false case against her. Appearing in person, she told the court that former prime minister got a case registered against her under sections 420,467,468 and 471 of PPC after levelling allegations that his (PM) forged signatures were used by her when she was serving as the country director of Overseas Pakistanis Socio Economic Development Club.
She said the same court had acquitted her of the allegations on April 24. However, she said she had undergone severe mental sufferings besides facing enormous harm to her repute.
