Peshawar: ATC sentences three terrorists
PESHAWAR: An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Thursday sentenced three men to 11-year imprisonment for firing at a police squad and injuring two policemen. ATC Peshawar Judge Shamsher Ali Khan announced imprisonment sentences to Asifullah, Bahadar and Wajid on charges of terrorism.
The court also fined each of the convicts Rs 50,000. The terrorists will have to spend six additional months in prison if they fail to pay the fine. According to the first information report (FIR) lodged by the Hashtnagri Police Station, the three alleged terrorists had opened fire on a police squad patrolling in the city, injuring two policemen several months ago.
