Lahore: Police exhume murdered woman’s body buried in house
LAHORE: Raiwind Police on Sunday exhumed the body of a woman who was stabbed to death, allegedly by her two brothers-in-law, on Saturday and was buried in the courtyard of her in-laws’ house. The police said that Ulfat Bibi (28), mother of three, was a resident of Jalalpur village, Raiwind, and lived with her in-laws, as her husband Muhstaq was abroad.
The police said that the victim’s brothers-in-law, Asif Ali and Hakim Ali, used to quarrel with her over minor domestic issues, as they “doubted her character”. The police said that Hakim and Asif stabbed Ulfat to death on Saturday and buried her in the courtyard of their house. The deceased’s neighbours informed the police on Sunday, after which officials of Raiwind Police reached there and exhumed the body.
