Lahore: 3 killed in different parts of city
LAHORE: Three people including a woman were murdered in different parts of the city on Monday. Batapur Police said that Baber, a resident of Jallo Morr Takki Mohalla, killed his fiancée Asma, 20, at her house. The accused killed his fiancée after her parents asked him to discontinue their engagement. A case was registered against the absconder on the complaint of the victim’s brother, Tanveer Ahmed.
Separately, the police recovered a bullet-riddled body of an unidentified man from Tariq Ismaeel Road. Police said the victim, a labourer, was killed by a bullet to the skull. In another incident, an 80-year-old man was shot dead by his nephew in Lakhu Dahar Daroghaiwala on Monday. Manawan Circle Supervisory Police Officer Shaukat Ali Joya said the accused, Bannu, invited his uncle outside the latter’s house and opened fire, leaving him injured. The victim was taken to the Services Hospital with seven bullet wounds, where he was proclaimed dead.
