Nawabshah: Police search for body of girl killed as ‘kari’
NAWABSHAH: A 16-year-old girl Akim Zadi of Brohi clan, resident of 68 Mori village, who eloped with a man to marry of her own choice, is said to have been murdered by her brother and members of her clan declaring her as ‘kari’, however, the police have failed to recover her body even after four days. The muharar of Jam Sahib police station Ali Hassan said on Friday that Muhammad Ramazan, father of Hakim Zadi, has lodged a case of murder against his son Ghulam Hussain for killing his daughter.
There are different reports regarding the fate of the deceased girl’s body. Certain reports suggest that the assailants have buried the body at the graveyard of Raeesani village near Jam Sahib town, while the police have been told by the accused that the body was thrown into Jamrao canal. Sources close to the Brohi clan have said that the accused were also searching for the paramour of the deceased girl to kill him as ‘karo’.
