Cycle bomb kills boy in Kohat
PESHAWAR: A bomb attached to a bicycle exploded on the outskirts of Kohat on Monday, killing a teenaged boy and wounding 12 policemen. Police officer Muhammad Riaz told The Associated Press that the roadside bomb was set off by remote control near a police van.
He said a teenaged boy in a nearby civilian vehicle was killed and 12 policemen in the police van were wounded. The van was heading to a local jail to bring suspects to court for hearing. Riaz said the bombing targeted police but would not speculate on who was responsible. There was no immediate claim of responsibility. Separately, police told AFP that investigations were underway.
