Karachi: MQM worker killed
KARACHI: A Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) worker was killed on Saturday within the jurisdiction of Peerabad Police Station and three others were killed in separate incidents.
According to details, 28-year old Sajjad Hussain was taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital with critical injuries, where he died soon. The deceased was a worker of MQM Unit-132. He was injured near his residence at Qasba Colony when hit by an iron pipe during a clash with four people, Junaid, Abdul Majeed, Abdul Hameed and Moiz. The police registered FIR No. 213/08, and arrested the four men.
In another incident, a police brigade found the body of Raju, 25, six days after his death. He was a resident of A.B. Sena Lane, was a laborer and died by electrocution. Upon receiving information from the neighbors, the police recovered the body and took it to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center (JPMC) for legal formalities.
The New Town police found a fifteen-day old body of a man on Shaheed-e-Millat Road, after receiving information from a pedestrian named Munaf. The body was taken to JPMC and then shifted to the Edhi morgue at Sohrab Goth for identification.
An 18-year old unidentified girl was found in the jurisdiction of the Gulistan-e-Johar Police Station and the body taken to JPMC. She was shot and unidentified men threw her body from a moving car.
